Taking it to new hights

It's that time of year again! Christmas cheer is everywhere. I love all the old traditions and I love starting new ones as a family. I'm a "stickler" for making family traditions, it's a way to hold on to the memories and make new ones. Memories are something you can't buy or ever loose. I'm thankful this Christmas. I have a wonderful family and lot's of people to share it with. This is  Della's 2nd year to celebrate. She decorated her own tree and helped with the family tree. It was so fun, Daddy did crazy dances to Christmas music and we all laughed. Della is not even  2 yrs yet, but she is a riot. She talks our heads off and is in everything of course. She loves "being helpful" and cleaning and cooking.  I will upload some pictures of all the crafts and cooking we have been doing the past couple months. We love our crafts! Della is very good at gluing now lol. I volunteered to do a group craft for the kid's at our Church Christmas party this year, and we did a test run today with it, she did really good, I have pics for that also. I try to make a point to do something fun with her on my day's off work. She will only be this young once. We are also learning how to potty in the pot. She is in pull ups, and I think she will get it this time. We tried before, but she was a little young. She knows what she is supposed to do now...it's just been a little hard because she got a stomach bug, well you know what that means lol. Pressing on though, she is still doing good with it.  Ok photo time. I'm not in a writing mood today just wanted to update a little though.

IPhone holder- craft of the week!

Modge Podge 50/50 water and glue

I used the paste to glue the label on!
Trace out your bottle and cut
 Supplies needed..Modge Podge,scissors,bottle,foam brush, fabric
Drying -----------------and the finished product! YAY I'm using my phone to take this shot, so it's not in there...but it holds my black phone perfectly and the charger chord as you can see.
So of course I got this idea from Pinterest, but I loved it so much I had to try it. I used an empty dish detergent bottle, and the craft called for Modge Podge. I didn't have any so I made some, then made the holder! So much fun. I had fabric on hand and glue to make the Modge Podge, and I actually had the foam brush to apply the paste. So It was a no brainer that I make this today :D hehe I really like it and for see another one in the near future for Aaron! My IPhone is black so this fabric works wonderfully, when I upgrade phones and get white, I will have to make a new holder...not a problem cause it was a ton of fun! So here are the step by step pictures starting with making the Modge Podge Paste!

I'm blessed

I am, I am so blessed. I have a wonderful family, an amazing husband that I just spend a awesome night with for our 2 year anniversary. My daughter is the best thing ever. She is the light in our lives. She teaches me and makes me laugh, she loves me and yes she can try my Patience but that's OK. I have been blessed to stay at home with her and raise her in the glory of the Lord. I have been blessed with a new carrier I can work on anytime of day. And the Lord is blessing Aaron at his work. I am so excited about thanksgiving, and the Holidays! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. I am excited about a new year ahead though.

A new page

Hey everyone! Here we go with another page in our book of life. Aaron and I have been so blessed this year and it's just getting better. So thankful for all our loving family and amazing friends. Aaron has a job with wonderful hours and a good potential for moving up and getting a better wage. Also we started a business. We are now Independent Arbonne Consultants! YAY. It's so exciting for us right now we are going non-stop. And that's awesome. We do have bad days and still need support! We are only human LOL. So please continue to pray for us and support us as you already do. We just launched our website. So please check that out. And hey make some orders! LOL. Christmas is just around the corner after Thanksgiving, I am so excited this year, Della will actually understand some of it. We will be in TN for Thanksgiving and I will be staying behind a few extra days to visit and have some Arbonne parties. If you are in TN and want to come to one of the parties let me know, I can hook you up. Tomorrow we are going to AR to be with Gramma and set a table up at a business convention! That should be fun. And Sunday is Church and meal and Bakers party! I love the Holiday months so much going on and so much fun. I have to run and get some laundry in the wash and make a list for the store. Hey I couldn't leave this post without saying something about the Cardinals game last night! What an amazing, nerve racking win!!! Hoping for another win tonight come over and watch it with us. Open invitation to all. WOOOHOOOO.

Creative Cabbage Head

Hint -Don't throw out your outer leaves of cabbage save them they make great decorations. This will last for a few days....soak the leaves in water in a clear bowl, add a candle or what ever you want to display!

Ever wonder what to do with the left over rice from last nights dinner? Well here is a yummy solution so it doesn't end up sitting in the fidge spoiling while you try and think of another meal to use it in as mine has in the past.

This was a childhood recipe my Mom used to make, it's one of those meals you just enjoy any time of day.

Here is what you need.
-about 4 cups of prepared rice (already cooked)
-Half head of fresh Cabbage
-Half of a yellow onion
- 1 or 1 1/2 lb (depends on how much you want to yield) breakfast sausage ( if pork doesn't agree with you use turkey it taste just as good)
-Garlic
- about 2 TBS of Soy Sauce
- Salt Pepper to taste

( Optional, and very good....garnish with La Choy, Chow mein noodles)

Here is what you need to know.

Cook thoroughly the sausage in a pan, Add diced onion until they are tender set aside save in grease.
in a wok or large pot fry your rice when it is nice and warm and even, add the sausage and onion, stir together.
next add the cabbage diced or chopped which ever you prefer into the rice and sausage mix, stir together.
Add your garlic, salt, pepper ( you may need to add a little water to steam the cabbage depending on how much grease you got from the sausage).
Cover with lid let the cabbage get tender to a wilt, keep tossing it so it cooks even.
Add the Soy sauce and stir, let the Soy sauce blend for about 3 Minutes.
Remove from stove, serve as is or with garnish.
